What is the best material for a shower panel?
Wall panels can be constructed from pvc, laminate or acrylic - all of which offer high quality and functionality.
Our ancona pvc shower panel range uses pvc as its material of choice.
With an innovative inner honeycomb structure, our Ancona system is specially designed to not only insulate your bathroom, but also reduce condensation, and prevent the build-up of mould to create both a hygienic and contemporary shower area.
Completely waterproof, it is produced to a larger thickness than industry standard PVC panels, offering a more robust solution for your home.
Our PVC panels also benefit from integrated push-fit tongue and groove joints along the edge of the product for quick installation, making it the ideal product for any DIY enthusiast.
Our stone effect panels are also Class 1 fire rated and backed by a comprehensive 12-month guarantee.
Can you put wet wall on top of tiles?
Yes, wet wall can be placed on top of existing tiles, although some steps must be taken to prior to application to ensure the best finish.
For one, all walls must be guaranteed to be flush - this has to be the case to prevent any uneven paneling.
And two, tiles must be cleaned entirely before adhesive is applied - this will ensure the best grip and will avoid the gathering of dust.
Using trims with your slate shower wall panels
Although already equipped with a tongue and groove edge, we recommend using trims at corner areas and on exposed edge for a neat finish with quick results.
Choose from a satin anodised, white powder coated, black powder coated or a luxury polished aluminium effect to achieve your perfect finish.
For a 2 panel corner sited shower you will require: 1 Internal Corner and 2 End Cap trims.
For a 3 panel 'U' shaped enclosure you will require: 2 Internal Corners and 2 End Caps.
You may also want to consider using a Cladseal Kit to seal the bottom joint between panels, bath edges and shower trays.
And don't forget to order your silicone sealant and wall panel adhesive, also available in the bathroom accessories section.
How to clean a pvc wall panel
PVC offers an easy clean surface, typically only needing a daily wipe down with a cloth and mild detergent to remove any soap or residue from the wall panel surface.
What is your stock availability?

Further information regarding pvc wall panels
Please Note: There may be the appearance of a scalloped edge at the top and bottom of the board, this is not a fault, it is the industry standard finish on a PVC wall or ceiling product.
Please Note: Rearo carry out regular quality control checks on all of our products. From time to time slight shading may be apparent. All panels must be checked for colour match shading differences before they are fitted, Rearo will not be accountable for any refitting charges if shading is discovered after fitting.
